I became a teacher because my stepmom was a teacher and was the most patient and kind person I have ever known.

I became a music teacher because I had a marvelous teacher in grades 4-8.   Mrs. Arnold was my music teacher one year, then my 5th grade teacher, then my choir director in 7th and 8th grade.  She used music to teach other subjects. (I can still sing my prepositions and all the states!)  As you may be able to tell, she had a deep influence on my developmental years.

I have been here at Pegram Elementary since 2011. Before coming to PES, I taught 4 years in Missouri and 6 years in Murfreesboro and spent ten years as a church choir director while my children were small.

I spend most of my spare time reading, baking, gardening, and pronouncing and spelling my name.
